Instruments first
We build the measuring device before the thing being measured. It is slower and it has never once been the wrong order.
Xetria is a research studio, not an agency and not yet a company in the way the word is usually meant. We were assembled in 2026 around a single conviction: that the next general-purpose interface will not be a device you hold, and that most of the pieces required to build it are being developed in isolation from each other.
We work in three directions at once — synthetic perception, computational matter, spatial continuum — because the interesting problems sit between them. A sensing layer is useless without a body that can hold it; a material is a curiosity until something needs it.
We take a small number of external commissions. They fund the longer programme and keep us honest about manufacturing, tolerance and cost. We do not name clients, and we do not publish work that is still theirs.

Every spatial claim is tested in a physical space we occupy daily. Demos that only work on stage do not count.
Writing is a filter, not a channel. If a note does not survive a second reading a month later, it stays unpublished.
Anything that senses must be legibly switchable. We treat the off-state as a feature with a spec.
We are not raising, not hiring publicly and not looking for coverage. We do read everything sent to the studio address, and we answer anything that is specific.
Partners, research collaborators and the occasional very patient investor reach us the same way: one clear paragraph about what you are working on.
