Seven positions we are not negotiating.

This document is revised roughly once a year. Nothing here describes a product. It describes what we believe strongly enough to spend a decade on.

01

Reality is an interface.

Everything you call an environment is already mediated — by glass, by optics, by habit. The question was never whether to mediate, only how honestly.

02

The screen was a compromise.

A rectangle we agreed to stare into because the alternative did not exist yet. It exists now, in pieces, in laboratories. Ours included.

03

Simulate before you build.

A twin costs nothing to destroy. We test a thousand futures in software and manufacture the one that survives.

04

Perception is infrastructure.

Roads, power, bandwidth — and now the ability of a space to notice. Treat it with the seriousness of a utility, including the responsibility.

05

Matter is becoming software.

Structure, compliance, conductivity: all searchable parameters. The gap between designing a material and designing an app is closing faster than institutions can absorb.

06

Quiet by default.

Systems that see should be legible, bounded and switched off when idle. An instrument that cannot be turned off is not an instrument. It is a policy.

07

Patience is a strategy.

We would rather be five years early in private than six months late in public. The announcement will come once. It will not need a second one.
